Shoe prices rise in Lithuania and Slovakia

According to Statistics Lithuania, the country’s inflation levels rose by 2.5% year-on-year in May. Footwear prices rose at an even faster rate, up 2.7% in May, while clothing prices grew 0.5%.

There were similar reports from Slovakia. According to the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, inflation rose by 3.4% in May. Footwear and clothing prices were slightly lower than overall inflation rates, but figures show prices for the sector grew 1.9%.
