Chinese shoemakers among Zhejiang’s top earners
Chinese shoe brands Aokang and Red Dragonfly have appeared among the top-ten list of profit earners in Zhejiang province.
Aokang ranked eighth on the list with net profit of RMB457 million ($71.7 million) in 2011, while Red Dragonfly came tenth with net profit of RMB277 million.
The list was announced at a private investment and financing conference held in Hangzhou city from June 6 to 9.
Aokang is China’s largest privately-owned footwear manufacturer and Geox is its largest European Union-based buyer.
Red Dragonfly is also a major footwear brand with three
product development centres in Italy, Guangzhou and Wenzhou and four bulk
production bases in Guangzhou, Wenzhou, Shanghai and Chongqing.
