Disney and Havaianas launch footwear collection together

Entertainment company Disney has joined forces with Brazilian flip-flop brand Havaianas to launch new ranges of footwear for children and adults as part of a global collaboration between the two companies.
 
The first of the designer flip-flops ranges will be available for summer 2012, featuring iconic Disney characters including Mickey and Minnie Mouse for infants and children, Winnie the Pooh designs for infants, Disney Princess flip-flops for girls and Cars 2 characters for boys.
 
Launching in time for autumn-winter 2012 will be two adult collections, with Mickey and Minnie Mouse set to feature along with The Muppets. An additional range for girls will also hit shelves for autumn-winter 2012 showcasing a Tinker Bell design.
 
David Lee, director of footwear for The Walt Disney Company in Europe, commented on announcing the project: “We’re thrilled to team up with Havaianas and launch this exclusive range of on trend flip-flops. We anticipate these will be a fashion staple for summer 2012 and a must-stock product for retailers’ summer and winter collections.”
