Topshop heiress launches footwear collection
Chloe Green, daughter of Topshop-owner Sir Philip Green, has launched her ‘CJG’ shoe line for Topshop at The Arts Club, London. The high heels were unveiled at an event on 17 April. Despite the height of her heels and wedges, Ms Green told WWD that they are “comfortable”.
“I’ve been standing in these for a couple of hours and they’re great,” she said regarding the metallic wedges she was wearing.
As for the inspiration behind her shoe line, Ms Green told media: “I can never find what I'm after in the shops and decided I wanted to fill that gap in the market. I love shoes like any girl and so I sat down with a group of friends and we talked about what we all looked for in a pair of shoes and then I got designing.”
With designs already in the works for an autumn 2012 collection, Ms Green is considering expanding her line to include clothing. “I'm kind of seeing where I want to go, if I want to go into clothing or accessories. I'll see first how his collection goes and then take it from there.”
