China: Q1 foreign trade at $859.4b

According to the China leather Industry Association (CLIA), China’s total foreign trade for the first quarter of 2012 grew by 7.3% to $859.4 billion, with 7.6% of growth in export and 6.9% in import.
The figures were recently announced by the General Administration of Customs, the CLIA said. The data also indicates a 2.8% increase in China’s footwear exports to $9.1 billion.
