Feng Tay reports production boost in February

Taiwanese outsource footwear manufacturing group Feng Tay Enterprises has reported that its six factories in Vietnam, four in China and one each in India and Indonesia collectively increased production by 15.7% in the month of February, compared to the previous month.

Total output for February was 4.9 million pairs, which also represents a 10.3% increase on February 2011.

However, Feng Tay, which manufacturers around 50 million pairs a year for Nike, said that its total output for the year so far, 9.2 million pairs, is 9.2% down on the first two months of 2011.
