27/02/2012

The China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) has reported that data released from Chengdu Customs shows that footwear made in Sichuan province, China, has seen a continuing decline in exported price. Although volume increased by 15.1% in the province’s January exports, the average price decreased to 14.6% to $5 per pair, according to the data.

A customs official said the price for exported shoes was at its highest level in August 2011, but that since then it has been decreasing. The official said that to increase the added value of exported products, companies should update and renovate their technology and promote brands further.
