Full-year leather sector export values for China

The China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) has said the industry there achieved full-year export revenues of $65.7 billion in 2011. This represents growth of 22% compared to 2010.

CLIA said that, because the industry imported products and materials with a value of $7.4 billion during the year, it registered a trade surplus of $58.3 billion. The rate of growth for imports was 20.4%.
