Luxury products group Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) recorded a 16% increase in revenue in 2011 reaching EUR 23.7 billion. All business groups saw high levels of momentum in Europe, Asia and the United States, the company said, but leathergoods brand Louis Vuitton did particularly well, recording double-digit revenue growth during the year.

Chief executive, Bernard Arnault, said on announcing the results: “2011 was another great vintage for LVMH, highlighting once again the power of our brands, the excellence of our craftsmanship and the appeal of our products. In 2012, LVMH intends to further strengthen its global leadership position in high-quality products by relying on its sound, long-term strategy.”
