China: leather footwear export volume down 8.9%

During the first 11 months of the fiscal year, China's export volume of leather footwear posted a decrease of 8.9% to 840 million pairs but value gained 4.6% to $10 billion. The average price for exported leather footwear increased by 13% to $11.94 per pair.
The country's imports of leather shoes saw an increase of 31.8% in volume and 57.4% in value; 18.52 million pairs worth $820 million were imported.
