French company opens shoe factory in Croatia

French footwear company Arche is opening a new production facility in the town of Koprivnica in northern Croatia.

Arche has already started producing shoes in a rented property there with 23 employees who produce 380 pairs per day. The plan is to produce 600 pairs of shoes and 800 uppers per day.

Jasmina Stricevic, head of the executive office for finances and entrepreneurship for the town of Koprivnica said: “Arche will build its business offices in the entrepreneur zone of Dravska. The building will be finished by spring and it will start work at the latest in July 2012.”
