New headquarters for Sanita in the US

Sanita’s hand-crafted clogs are manufactured and imported from its European factories, and the new Houston location will provide a centrally located US distribution headquarters, the company said.
“This is an exciting move for us at Sanita,” said chief operating officer, Claus Thomsen. “We know that we will be able to better serve the growing needs of our retailers and customers, and we look forward to expanding our US division.”
A new distribution centre in Houston will open at the start of 2012.
Houston is the base of new Sanita chief executive in the US, Albert Chidiac. As a long-time Sanita retailer, Mr Chidiac is familiar with the brand and its products.
“If my experience in the footwear industry has taught me anything, it’s that customers appreciate a shoe of both comfort and quality,” he said on taking up the role. “I couldn’t be happier to take this position at a company that shares a passion for giving customers these two vital attributes in every pair of shoes.”
