At the events, 23 Italian companies were able to present their spring-summer 2012 collections to customers from across eastern Europe and central Asia. Special Italian Footwear Exhibitions took place in Kiev, Almaty, and at Obuv’ Mir Koži in Moscow.
Later, ANCI president, Cleto Sagripanti, said that following “a two-year crisis period”, the market in this part of the world was once again showing keen interest in quality Italian shoes. Export figures confirm the recovery. In the first seven months of year, exports of high-end Italian shoes to Russia grew by 15.9% in volume and 22.8% compared to the same months in 2010.
