Three strong points emerge from SIMAC

The organisers of the 2011 Tanning Tech and SIMAC events held in Bologna in October have said the exhibitions went well with more visitors, particularly from outside Italy, than had been predicted before the start.

Assomac, the Italian tanning and footwear machinery manufacturers’ association, said after the events that three certainties had emerged. The first was that Simac and Tanning Tech are worldwide points of reference for their sectors thanks partly to the high standard of technology the exhibitors put on display.

Secondly, the number and value of orders signed in Bologna suggests machinery manufacturers will end 2011 on a high.

Lastly, unlike in previous years, visitors were more focused on the performance of the machinery on show than on prices.

Tanning Tech and Simac will take place again next year, as always in parallel with Lineapelle, from October 9–11, 2012.
