Man receives giant slipper in PR stunt

A man who ordered a special UK size 14.5 slipper to fit his large foot was sent a size 1,450 after Hong Kong-based manufacturers claimed they missed a decimal point in his order. Tom Boddingham, who lives in London, has a UK size 13 right foot while his left is a slightly bigger 14.5. But the left shoe Mr Boddingham received measured 210cm x 130cm x 65cm.
The funny mishap was reported in a number of UK newspapers on 20 October, 2011, but was in fact a publicity stunt by UK-based slipper company Monster Slippers.
The ‘Mr Boddingham’ in the photograph of the oversized slipper is actually the company’s online retail manager, Joseph Jennings.
