Summer events open doors for Footbalance

Custom footbed technology provider Footbalance has placed its products in 15 new retail outlets across North America as a result of meetings and product demonstrations at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City in August and Interbike in Las Vegas in September.

Among the new stockists of the company's products, custom-moulded footbeds that can help facilitate proper alignment of the feet and ankles, are retailers in all parts of the US, as well as one each in Canada and Mexico.

Managing director, Matt Kaplan, said on announcing the news: “The outdoor, ski and bike markets are huge opportunities for us and we’re excited to expand our retail partnerships to be even more accessible with these new doors opening.”

Footbalance was developed by Erkki Hakkala, a Finnish physiotherapist specialising in podiatric medicine. The system he came up with enables the rapid production of fully customised footbeds at retail stores in less than ten minutes.
