Last manufacturer Fagus-GreCon has celebrated its centenary at a three-day event at its factory near Hanover in early September. Customers, business partners, friends and employees of the company joined in the celebrations, which took place from September 9–11. The Fagus factory itself, built in 1911, has been designated as a UNESCO world cultural heritage site, giving double cause for celebration.

At the event, there were speeches and interludes as well as tours of the Fagus factory and the different production facilities. Special guests included the prime minister of Lower Saxony, David McAllister.

In addition to its last production operation, the company also develops technology for fire protection, measuring systems and finger-jointing, which have applications in several industries.

The company has more than 500 employees worldwide, and exports more than 80% of its production. The turnover of the whole group is between EUR80 million and EUR100 million. The company believes its prospects remain strong.
