Jiangxi reports $290m footwear exports

According to Nanchang Customs, China, footwear exports from Jiangxi province increased 35.8% to $290 million in the first seven months. Export to the US totalled $150 million.
The footwear production industry in Jiangxi province has achieved rapid growth in recent years as brands including Nike, Peak, Huanjian and Pou Chen have relocated their shoes production in the province.
According to the China Leather Industry Association, 30 footwear producers in the county of Gaoxin have signed contracts to relocate their footwear production to Jiangxi province.
