The Italian National Footwear Association (ANCI) has organised a special exhibition for high-end Italian shoes to be held during the Paris Fashion Week in the autumn.

Twenty-one footwear brands from Le Marche, Tuscany, Veneto, Lombardy, Campania, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Emilia Romagna will take part in the event, Chaussures d’Italie, at Pavillon Gabriel from October 1–3. The companies will unveil their collections for spring-summer 2012.

ANCI said France was still a market with strategic importance for the Italian footwear manufacturing sector. In 2010 France’s imports of Italian shoes increased by 21% in volume and 14% in value, reaching 41.2 million pairs and more than EUR 1 billion.
