First half shoe exports from China worth $19 billion

The China Leather Industry Association has announced that footwear exports from the country’s manufacturers in the first half of 2001 had a value of more than $19 billion.

This represents an increase of 21.7% on the value of shoe exports from China in the first six months of 2010.

Across all industries, China’s exports over the January-June period had a value of more than $1.7 trillion, an increase of 25.8% on the 2010 figure.
