New Amann thread factory in China is formally open

Industrial thread producer Amann & Söhne held a ceremony in May to mark the opening of the new sewing threads production plant it has built in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, in China. The new factory is co-located with a twisting plant, which opened in 2010, at the time of the ground-breaking ceremony for the sewing threads facility.

National and international guests travelled to Yancheng, 270 kilometres north-east of Shanghai, for this latest event, including representatives of different levels of government and many of the thread producer’s customers, including footwear manufacturers. They joined Amann’s employees for the celebrations.

Chairman of the company’s board of directors, Hanns A. Pielenz, and its chief executive, Bodo Boelzle, presided over the ceremony, which included music and food representing both China and Amann’s home country, Germany.
