Clarks makes running shoe pledge for cancer

20/06/2011
Footwear brand Clarks launched two new models of women’s sports shoes as part of its support of an event called Race for Life, in which ordinary women and girls across a series of different UK cities run five kilometres to raise money for a cancer charity. The 2011 event took place on June 19.

Clarks has pledged to give 10% of the retail price of the two models, the Izola Lace and the Wave Echo Lace, to the charity concerned, Cancer Research UK. The charity says its work, entirely funded by the public, has led to a doubling of survival rates among cancer sufferers in the last 40 years.
