Asics to sponsor Bupa’s great runs

Japanese athletic footwear and apparel company Asics has replaced US sportswear firm Nike as the official sportswear and running shoe partner of the UK-based Bupa Great Run Series.
The brand has signed a three year deal with Great Run series and will be able to display, promote and sell products at the Great Run events in the UK. It will create a dedicated area on the Great Run website to give product and training advice for runners.
The Bupa Great Run Series holds 10 events in the UK, including the Great North Run, Great Yorkshire Run and Great Edinburgh Run.
Asics managing director UK and Ireland Barry Mellis said: “This partnership with the Great Run series will cement Asics’ position as the runner’s choice in the UK.”
