Guangdong: production suspended in some factories

A report has said that the production in some footwear factories in Guangdong province, China, has been partially closed as production costs increases and consumption declines.

 

The China Leather Industry Association quotes a survey conducted by Guangzhou Daily, which shows more and more companies are operating in half production capacity, with some small and medium-sized enterprises stopping their shoe production altogether.  

 

According to a report by CNR News, shoe orders in Guangdong province have declined by 30% since October 2010.
