Asics promises better product presentation

Sports brand Asics Europe has launched a new distribution policy for the Asics and Onitsuka Tiger footwear brands.

Asics said the new distribution policy would allow it to “focus on raising the standards of customer experience across Europe by investing in improved product presentation at retail”. The brand will also provide comprehensive technical training for retail staff to “facilitate the long-term success of retail partners selected by Asics to be part of the new distribution policy”.

Alistair Cameron, Netherlands-based chief executive of Asics Europe, said on announcing the development: “The new distribution policy marks Asics’ commitment to ensuring our consumers are offered appropriate products through retailers that are focused on providing the best customer experience and service. This step is part of our continued brand positioning to focus on sustainable growth and our mission to be the number-one true performance sports brand.”
