ANCI, the National Association of Italian Footwear Manufacturers, has announced that it will present a Shoes From Italy exhibition as part of the Obuv' Mir Koži event in Moscow, May 17-19. Italian leathergoods will also be part of the display.

"Shoes from Italy is an essential platform both for consolidating the position acquired on the Russian market and for investigating the dynamics of demand during the selling phase," ANCI said in a statement in the build-up to Obuv' Mir Koži.

In all, 47 Italian companies will be exhibiting, with attendance figures of around 3,000 professionals in the field from all regions of the Russian Federation expected.

In 2010, Italian footwear companies exported almost 12 million pairs to this market for a total value in excess of EUR 611 million, growth of 5.2% in volume on 2009 figures, and of 9.2% in value. The average price per pair last year was EUR 74.
