Aokang receives European order boost as anti-dumping duties end

18/04/2011
High-end Chinese footwear brand Aokang Group has announced that it has dispatched a first shipment of 20,000 pairs of shoes made for Geox since the lifting of anti-dumping duties on March 31.

Aokang said hundreds of thousands of pairs will be ready for a second shipment soon.

Geox is Aokang’s largest European Union-based buyer. The Chinese company said orders from the Italian firm had increased by 70% since the lifting of the 16.5% anti-dumping duty imposed on exporters of leather shoes from China to Europe since 2006.
