Spanish exhibitors content with confidence of fair visitors

FICE marketing director, Imanol Martínez, said Spanish companies taking part in events in January, February and March had met their objectives. He said the Micam event in Milan in March had been especially productive, followed by an "acceptable" amount of interest in the Spanish shoes on display at GDS in Düsseldorf.
According to Mr Martínez the consensus among Spanish exhibitors was that visitor numbers for the season's events across the board were slightly down on last year, the visitors who had come to their stands appeared to have more confidence in the market. This translated into a greater willingness to firm up sales and orders.
