Oetzi3300, an LA-based footwear brand inspired by Ötzi, the mummified man found in 1991 in the Ötztal Alps on the border between Austria and Italy, has unveiled its collection for spring-summer 2011.

The brand uses veg-tanned leather to create style-conscious shoes influenced by the shoes found on Ötzi the iceman. Oetzi3300 claims to have incorporated “basic essentials from the past” in a fresh and relevant way for today’s market.

To promote the new collection, Oetzi3300 has released a video titled Oetzi3300 Summer Lovin’ which was written and directed by ‘The Lord of the Rings’ senior animator, Stephen Buckley, and which features a humorous appearance from ‘the real Ötzi’.
