Specialist footwear and leather testing, research and training organisation CTC has opened its first office in India, choosing the capital city, New Delhi, as the location.

"CTC India will be operating at the heart of one of the most dynamic manufacturing areas for footwear, leathergoods and gloves," the organisation said, "offering services for audits, inspections, physical testing, chemical analysis and CE marking."

CTC India becomes the fifth Asian branch in the group, after it set up laboratories in Hong Kong (1996), Shanghai (2005) and Dongguan (2009), and an audit and inspection office in Ho Chi Minh City (2002).

CTC India will be run by Pierre Beaupoil, deputy director for development, and by Puneet Singh, project and sales manager.
