Hanwag celebrates 90 years

23/02/2011

During the 2011 ispo trade show (6-9 February 2011, Munich, Germany), the team of Munich’s International Trade Fair took the opportunity to celebrate German footwear manufacturer Hanwag’s 90th anniversary.

Ispo not only marked the occassion, but also recognised the successful partnership with the Bavarian firm, as Hanwag has been exhibiting at ispo for more than 40 years.

89-year old Josef Wagner, nephew of company’s founder Hans Wagner, received a certificate in honour of Hanwag’s 90th anniversary at ispo. Josef Wagner, who is still involved in Hanwag’s daily business, was one of the first ispo exhibitors in 1970. This year, he will turn 90 – just like the company.

“We are very proud of our successful and longstanding cooperation with ispo – we’ve been exhibiting here for more than 40 years,” said Hanwag’s head of sales and marketing Jürgen Siegwarth.

“We have a very special partnership, which exceeds the usual business level. We would like to thank the team of Munich Trade Fairs for honouring our brand and we look forward to the upcoming, successful 40 years with a strong partnership.”
