Himalayan slipper brand launches outdoor boot collection
01/02/2011
London-based Woolenstocks became known for a range of slippers and slipper boots that are handmade in the Himalayas by a team of local artisans with each product taking 40 hours to make. There is a strong ethical element as all craftspeople are paid above average wage and materials such as felt and wool are locally sourced.
The brand says it has had “huge sales” in the US and Europe and that it hopes to repeat this success with its outdoor collection. It has generated a celebrity following including actress Sienna Miller, singer Mica Paris and dancer Camilla Dallerup.
