Reliance Footprint, a branch of India-based Reliance Retail, has announced it will add 100 stores every year to its chain. The company also has plans to set up mono-brand Asics stores in Bangalore and Hyderabad. In India, Reliance Retail has exclusive dealership rights to Japanese sports footwear brand Asics, and there is currently just one Asics mono-brand store in Kochi.

Reliance Footprint aims to attain an 8% share of the footwear market by 2015. It aims to be the largest multi-brand footwear destination in India, offering shoes, handbags, accessories and luggage. The stores stock about eight exclusive private labels as well as other national and international brands.
