Own-brand stores perform better for Geox

15/11/2010
Italian footwear brand Geox has reported increased sales for the third quarter, up by 1.1% compared to the third quarter of 2009, but the growth came from apparel lines.

Footwear sales still accounted for 87% of the total, EUR 736.5 million, reaching EUR 638.9 million. This represents an 8% decrease on the sales of shoes in the same quarter last year. Apparel sales contributed EUR 97.7 million, an increase of 13%.

On announcing the results, company chairman and founder, Mario Moretti Polegato, said he was pleased with the way monobrand Geox shops had performed, with their sales for the quarter up by 20%.
