Chinese footwear group Belle International is installing a state-of-the-art production line at a former Senda Group facility in Jiangsu. The renovated plant will have the capacity to produce 10 million pairs of leather shoes a year.

Belle acquired Senda Group in 2007 and recently announced that its efforts to restructure the former rival company are almost complete. It said it expected sales figures for Senda leather shoes for 2010 to pass 3 million.

Belle International chief executive, Zheng Baijiao, told Chinese media that the new production line will be complete within a year.
