Crocs introduces Tone collection

04/11/2010
According to Crocs, its new Crocs Tone collection could help people to improve muscle tone as they walk.

Unlike many other athletic and flip flop footwear that offers highly visible toning features, its new line uses a concealed three-layer design to stimulate leg muscle activity.

The range comprises a Skylar Flat, a sling-back flat, and the Skylar Clog, a sleeker-version on the Crocs Classic clog, with the Skylar Sandal and Skylar Flip styles to become available in 2011. Colour combinations include black/neon pink, espresso/electric blue, light grey/rose, citrus/oyster and watermelon/oyster.

“Despite the toning category’s exponential growth, the market is missing casual lifestyle shoes. The Crocs Tone collection fills that void,” said Dale Bathum, global vice president of product. “With the versatility and foot health attributes of our proprietary Croslite technology, we have the ability to design sleeker, more stylish silhouettes that stimulate muscle activity in the upper and lower legs, so that women have the opportunity to realise the benefits of toning without sacrificing style or comfort.”
