Recall on Meijer shoes

02/11/2010
Footwear brand Meijer has recalled all pairs of its Falls Creek shoes for boys. The shoes were made in China and have been on sale across the US since July, retailing at around $15.

Consumer authorities in the US have ordered the recall because toggles on the laces of the shoes can become detached and could represent a choking hazard. The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Meijer said parents should stop putting the shoes on their children and return them to any Meijer store to receive a refund.
