ANCI hosts anniversary conference for CIMAC

The National Association of Italian Footwear Manufacturers (ANCI) hosted a conference entitled Future Fashion Footwear Ideas on October 23 to mark the 25th anniversary of CIMAC (the Italian Centre for Footwear Application Materials) based in Vigevano.

Speaking at the event, ANCI president, Vito Artioli, said: “On this date we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of CIMAC, but we are also celebrating 25 years of history and attention from the Italian footwear industry to our health and quality of life. The quality of life given by ensuring that the wellness of our consumers is safeguarded, and that it is not at loggerheads with economic development. Instead it should become its cornerstone, as the way to speed up development is through technological progress. Our companies have embarked on development that combines craftsmanship traditions with technological and organisational renewal, whilst always keeping this aspect firmly in mind”.
