Bangladesh leather-sector exports rose by 50% during the first two months of the financial year (July and August), with all segments performing well. Footwear exports experienced 33.2% growth to reach a value of $40.8 million.
The country has fixed an export target of $563.8 million for the leather sector for the year compared with $476.8 million in the last financial year.
