Visitor numbers up at Modacalzado and Iberpiel

According to the organisers of leathergoods and footwear exhibitions Modacalzado and Iberpiel, 10,644 trade visitors attended the most recent edition, which ran September 24-26 in Madrid. This is a 5% increase compared with the March issue and flat with the number that attended the event last September.

The number of overseas visitors rose 6% to 1,999. Travelling from 78 countries, the best-represented countries outside Spain were Portugal, Italy, France, Greece, Russia and the UK.

Around 305 exhibitors participated in the event, representing 700 brands. These included 76 new exhibitors and 160 brands that had not previously appeared at the shows.
