Geox announces new large store for Madrid

Geox has had a presence in the Spanish market for years through a large number of smaller stores and in multi-brand shoe shops. Earlier this year, it added substantially to its presence in Madrid by opening a new own-brand store covering 120 square-metres in the capital's Calle Serrano, a classy shopping area near the city centre.
The company followed this by opening in July a much bigger store, around 400 square-metres, in one of Barcelona's most presitigious shopping streets, the Passeig de Gràcia.
Speaking on September 22 at a conference in Madrid on the future of family businesses, Geox founder, Mario Moretti Polegatto, announced a plan to continue the trend of opening larger stores with a new 500 square-metre outlet in the Spanish capital.
