Amann to set up operation in Bangladesh

The new joint venture company will produce and sell sewing threads based on German Quality Standards to footwear manufacturers and other customers in Bangladesh.
The construction work for a new, fully integrated production site in Mawna, Gazipur with a capacity of 3000 tonnes a year will start in January 2011. In mid 2012 the new facility will be ready to supply the local market with high quality sewing threads.
Amann said it would set up "an ambitious and customer-oriented sales team" in the course of the next few months.
