09/09/2010
The National Association of Italian Footwear Manufacturers (ANCI) has announced the fourth edition of the ANCI Creative Award, an international competition aimed at young designers, focusing on interior design for display for the sale of footwear.

The goal is to provide an original interpretation of the spaces traditionally used for presenting and selling footwear: exhibition stands, showrooms, single-brand shops and shop-in-shops within multi-brand stores.

On making the announcement, ANCI said: “Entries to the competition must propose areas suitable for displaying and selling footwear that take into consideration the new approaches for flexible and mobile premises, without forgetting the aspect of just in time production based on small series and sustainability, an increasingly important aspect of every industrial procedure. Moreover, the projects must relate to the development of  new media, and the resultant transformation of consumers and buyers alike.”

The competition jury will include various figures that are involved in the production and distribution process, including footwear entrepreneurs and professionals that work in the distribution field. The official awards ceremony will at the next edition of the Micam exhibition, Milan September 19–22.
