TaylorMade renews agreement with China Golf Association

01/09/2010
The TaylorMade Golf Company has entered a new three-year agreement with the China Golf Association (CGA). Under the agreement, TaylorMade and adidas Golf will be the exclusive equipment supplier to the China national golf team, providing men and women players with golf shoes, clubs, bags, headwear and accessories. This announcement follows the successful completion of a similar alliance between the TaylorMade Golf Company and the CGA that began in 2007. The new agreement calls for continued cooperation between the organisations to promote and develop golf in China, which is currently the fastest growing golf market in the world.

The new agreement was announced in Beijing at the end of August when the CGA also named the eleven members of the team that will compete in the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, November 12–27.

“We appreciate TaylorMade Golf for providing equipment to the national golf team and promoting the development of golf in this country,” said Zhang Xiao-Ning, secretary-general of the China Golf Association. “The three-year agreement has proven that TaylorMade Golf is an ideal partner and we are honoured to continue this alliance. I believe this sponsorship agreement will not only assist our players in the Asian Games, but also increase the awareness and popularity of this sport in China.”
