K-Star expands its horizons

Chinese sports footwear brand K-Star has said it will explore new markets in south-east Asia, especially Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

The company’s chief financial officer, Lim Yeow Eng, has told media in Malaysia that K-Star has still to decide whether its best bet will be to set up a network of distributors in these countries or open its own-brand outlets there. He said the company was still studying these markets and exploring opportunities.

One of the moves K-Star is likely to make is to launch a line of sports apparel later this year.
