Pakistani shoe firms to explore South African market

19/08/2010

In order to increase its market share in South Africa, the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has agreed to subsidise the visits of a number of Pakistani shoe exporters to an upcoming trade show in Cape Town.

Several footwear firms will attend the Apparel, Textile, Footwear and Machinery Trade Exhibition 2010, which will be held from November 24-26.
According to TDAP, South Africa has annual imports of $70 billion and rising income levels mean there are growing opportunities for Pakistani shoe firms in the African country.
