Chinese footwear machinery companies look overseas

A footwear machinery manufacturer from Jinjiang in China’s Fujian province, Hong’an Machinery, has announced a new strategy of selling its machines overseas instead of exclusively in the domestic market.

Vietnam and India are the first two targets for the company’s overseas expansion strategy, the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA).

CLIA said Fujian was a hub for footwear machinery production in China, with the greatest concentration of producers in and around Jinjiang. It said looking overseas for growth was an obvious next step for these machine manufacturing companies.
