Having led the group’s industrial operations division since 2005, Laurence Jacquot will now also take on responsibility for hardware research and development. By bringing these two roles together, Lectra has said it intends to accelerate development through strengthened synergies between the two teams.
The company currently has 50 employees in hardware research and development and 150 in industrial operations. It says the objective is to offer customers “increasingly innovative and powerful technological solutions with an optimised time to market”.
Chief executive, Daniel Harari, commented on making the appointment: “By bringing our hardware research teams and our manufacturing teams together under the same director, we aim to go a step further and bring a new dimension to all our cutting room solutions.” He added that Ms Jacquot had done “a superb job” in launching the Vector range, Lectra’s flagship offering for the cutting room, in 2007.
