Tecnica launches warm weather hiking shoe

Outdoor and ski footwear brand Tecnica has launched a new vented, mid-height warm weather hiking shoe, based on its Cyclone Mid GTX product. The new Cyclone Sport Mid is designed for long-distance hikes in warmer weather.
The New Hampshire-based company said at the time of the launch that the Cyclone Sport Mid offers “excellent ventilation and protection where you need it”. The top half of the shoe is a durable mesh, while the bottom half is full grain leather for added support and protection. This new addition to Tecnica’s 360º Outdoor collection features proprietary technology called the Tecnica Rolling System (TRS), which comprises eleven elements that combine to give a more forward rolling motion.
The TRS has an oversized roll zone, with approximately two-thirds of the sole, the area in the rear, flat and one-third in the front with a “rolling rocker”. According to Tecnica, the result is an improvement in energy transmission, comfort and performance and less fatigue for the wearer.
The Cyclone Sport Mid also has Ortholite insoles for added cushioning and anti-microbial benefits.
