Indonesian footwear manufacturers receive World Cup boost
Indonesian footwear industry association Aprisindo has told local media that outsource shoe manufacturers in the country have recently won new orders worth $360 million from six important international sports brands.
Reports in the Asian country said Nike, New Balance, Lacoste, Mizuno, adidas and Puma have all placed orders.
Aprisindo said the popularity of the FIFA World Cup, which kicks off in South Africa on June 11, was boosting demand for sports footwear.
